Is Your Pool Losing Water?

An untreated pool leak leads to much more than water loss. Water accumulation in the soil causes walkway displacement during frost. Add to that the loss of chemicals, water imbalance, and heat loss.

Warning Signs of a Leak

  • Your pool loses more than 1/8 of an inch of water per day.
  • You need to add water more than once a week.

Detection Process

The first step is to identify the exact losses over 24-hour periods: pool running, then pool off. This allows us to determine whether the problem is with the liner or the plumbing, and to send the appropriate team.

Plumbing Leak Detection

  • We confirm the leak with a pressure test
  • We locate the leak with an electronic device
  • Pressure test on plumbing
  • Skimmer and return jet replacement
  • Bottom drain replacement
  • Plumbing replacement

Liner Leak Detection (Probe Test)

  • We locate the leak with a sonar: an electronic listening device
  • If necessary, a diver will seal the leak with a patch (a piece of liner)

An ignored leak always costs more than a repaired leak.
